Sharon Flores, LCSW, SIFI

Sharon Flores has proudly served in the US Army and brings a broad range of talent, understanding and compassion to the work she does with all members of the community. Sharon is a NY State Licensed Social Worker holding a master’s degree from Fordham University’s Graduate School of Social Services and a SIFI Certification for field instruction in Social Work. Sharon has over 16 years of clinical expertise working with families and communities in the Bronx and surrounding counties.
Sharon has worked with many populations over her 23 + years and has tremendous knowledge of human development, family dynamics and community resources. Sharon has worked with substance abuse and relapse prevention, PLWHA (people living with HIV/AIDS) homeless individuals and families and incarcerated individuals and with LGBTQI population.
Currently Sharon is working with school aged and adolescents and parents who have strained relationships, working on all aspects of life, school, teaching life skills, drug prevention, building positive communication skills, and creating protective risk factors.
Throughout her years of dedicated work she has provided grief and bereavement counseling as well as motivational and mediations interventions. Her clinical skill strengths are in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma treatment and Community Collaboration.
